Forest floor
Old oak wood behind the beds and a moss-green floor create a forest atmosphere. It’s like spending the night under the trees, only more comfortable.
Our rooms on the Waldetage (Forest floor) all have a balcony or terrace with mountain views. Unfortunately we can’t accommodate dogs here. (They are very welcome on our Mine floor! See below)
After a good night’s sleep (night times here in the Oberharz really are incredibly quiet), we will serve you a delicious breakfast with regional and organic products.
Highlight option: You can also enjoy breakfast in the comfort of your room!

Superior upgrade
In 2022, we conjured up a light-flooded dream of a chalet bathroom for room 4: natural oak on the walls and ceiling, a washstand made from old barn beams dating from 1752 – and you’ll always have warm feet!

Mine
For the lower floor – Mine – we were inspired by the rich mining history of the Harz mountains. Old bunker lamps and bakelite switches, rich colors and a pinch of Harz mysticism. But you don’t have to sleep underground, all rooms have a terrace with a mountain view, ideal for chilling out together. Your dogs are very welcome on this floor!
A delicious breakfast with regional and organic products is served in the morning.
Highlight option: You can also enjoy breakfast in the comfort of your room!

Superior upgrade
Room 2 also got a new bathroom in 2022. Glazed brick slips in a herringbone pattern, a combination of black concrete and oak wood and brass-colored light from concrete spotlights. And of course – warm feet again!

Summit room
Sky blue, sand tones, natural materials and surfaces – a Harz summit experience dressed up as a room. With a large balcony, but without a mountain view. But you can enjoy the afternoon sun – you can’t have both at the same time. 😉
